Last day this year

No I'm not going to party and celebrate that another year has gone hmm..

I'm going to the sauna right now to lay in the warmth and contemplate looking at the patterns you can see in the wood on the walls and ceiling just letting your imagination make something out of it.

Art impression

The collection is vast from running on auctions and second hand stores for decades, bringing lots of find home to be standing in some closets.. Some paintings has actually made a place for them and I like to glance at them once in a while. Like this one that I found somewhere for maybe fifty kronor or something like that. It hangs in my bedroom and I look at it every day, haven't got wearied yet.

Perhaps "real" art connoisseurs would dismiss it just as flamboyant and to much of everything. But I like it as it is and use to let the mind play with different ideas when looking at it, sometimes I can let the mind take me yo that shore and let me walk in there feeling the breeze, warmth and smell from the sea. I can wonder what year it is, believe something like 1800 and then what clothes people would bear, believe they where uncomfortable.. especially for women if it was warm. Things where not always better before.. Wonder what language you would have to master for communicate with the people over there and what food you could find, definitely fish but what sort and do they use to make it over open fire or boil it, have they discovered potato yet or..

Sometimes I only take in the light and colour, it makes me cosy only to have them in the eye for a while, think it's definitely a warm painting.

Happy Christmas!

Had a long sleep this morning since the ham I cooked on the wooden stove wasn't ready until 01 this morning. It tasted really good..

The snow is falling light and makes the nature look like a Christmas card. Now it's time to relax and let the clock tick slowly waiting for santa..

Christmas coming close

Got to admit I get more and more of this cosy feeling. There is no rush for anything now. The Christmas tree is already inside and you can use the evenings to read and listening to these classic X-mas songs like this one.

Wednesdayevening tea

Having spent the evening out in the unheated garage a warm cup or two warms you up.

This thing of doing work in the garage has a lot of strange psychology in it. Alone with your thoughts that can circulate freely on anything you also have this goal of having the job done. When you get into problems, as you always do, the thing is to take it easy and just let the time work for you. You against this new challenge.

Tonight I listened to some modern Christmas tunes and it was quite cosy.. Often, especially with old cars you have to invent methods for solving the case and afterwards when the job is done you feel quite happy and appreciate this warm cup of tea and some chocolate..

Morning light

It's almost nine in the morning until the light starts to glow, sun is somewhere behind those trees. Lucky I don't live in Kiruna where they now have no lights at all until the end of January. But a lot of people live there and they like it. They get their sun time back in summer when It's not going down for a couple of months. Humans are so versatile!

Saturday and fish for supper

I really like fish, grow up with it as the basic food. Nowadays it's more of a luxury since it's not cheap if you have to buy. Today it'll be Alaska Pollok pre cooked and then in the oven (those frozen square ones) and together with some shrimps. Also a broccoli gratin and a cheese sauce, all together with rice. Glad that the kids also likes fish.

And now for something completely different

Come to think about this song and this very special performance today. Hmm.. see some resemblance..

Remember that film he made "True stories" Really liked the slow pace and Texas weirdness in it. Think it was only me and the film critic from the local newspaper who sat in the cinema that evening.
